Financial Technology (FinTech) blends finance, data and digital tools to innovate and improve payment processing, banking, security, investing and other f inancial services. Whether your previous education is in f inance, business or computer programming, this graduate certificate will equip you with the unique set of skills needed to work in the growing FinTech industry. Gain hands-on experience using the latest tools and software through labs, case studies, group projects and a final capstone project. Many of your problem-based learning exercises will involve collaboration with industry partners and peers from other disciplines. The program also includes an optional co-op that can provide you with up to 360 hours of real-world experience. 

Program eligibility:

• Postsecondary diploma, advanced diploma or degree in business, finance, applied computing, information technology, computer science or equivalent fields.

OR

• Demonstrated competence through educational experience and/or related work experience

Applicant selection

• Individual applicants outside of the fields identified may be selected on the basis of postsecondary academic achievement and related work experience (as determined by the college). Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
